The year 2002 marked Japanese rider Norifumi "Norick" Abe's 7th full year in the World Championships as he raced once again under the Antena 3 Yamaha d'Antin Team. The team's machine was the latest evolution of the YZR500. The 4-cylinder 2-stroke 2-shaft V-engine had been developed using the latest tech- nology and provided increased power and more efficient control thanks to its optimized intake/exhaust airflow and compression. Like previous Yamaha YZR500's this machine also employed a large cowling that wraps the rider, as well as two exhaust pipes that point out of the sharp rear cowling. The racing Yamaha's characteristic front cowling, seat cowling and wheels are all authentically reproduced. Cowling is attached via screws. 2-cycle V4 engine and internal computer in seat cowling have been authentically replicated. Olhins-type front fork suspension. Solid rubber tires. Realistic smooth cowling that hugs the rider and seat cowling that protrudes slightly over the rear wheel. Engine is molded as one part with airduct and other adjacent parts to provide easy assembly and preserve detail. Includes a real spring for the suspension, small metal screws, a small screwdriver, and vinyl tubing for cables and hoses. Waterslide decals for the #6 and #20 Antena 3 machines. Clear pictorial instructions.
